Cosmo's Return

It’s been 8 years after Sonic and Co. managed to exterminate the Metarex to save the whole universe. Sadly the victory had a huge prize… Cosmo. The only girl, that Sonic’s little brother, Miles or “Tails” loved with all his heart. She was a very nice alien, and she was adored by everyone. Even when she wasn’t the strongest of all… she was very brave and never gave up, until the galaxy was saved. But after the leader of the Metarex took control over the core of galactic bomb, she transformed into her true form and was able to get through the shield unlike Sonic and Shadow. She landed on the bomb and she summons a giant tree, which covered the whole bomb. Everyone knew what Cosmo wanted and they weren’t pleased… they must shoot the bomb along with her, so that she can absorb the explosion. And what makes this situation worse… Tails, the only boy who cared the most about the lovely alien, had to be the one who had to kill her, which made his heart and soul sink… But there sadly was no other choice to save the whole universe. And so… Tails shot her. That was too much for his soul to handle the pain of despair and a broken heart. And even after 6 years, Tails wasn’t the same anymore. He was depressed… too much, so he had to go to the psychological clinic and the doctors had to give him medicaments so that he was calm, because he was close to commit suicide… But sadly, after two years, where Tails has calmed down a bit, he still wasn’t the same like he was years ago. He ate only as much as needed and he ever since he left the clinic, he didn’t leave his house. Sonic and the others tried their best to cheer him up, but the blonde fox was too sad to even let them in and talk. Everyone were worried, but they knew that Tails needs time… And what he didn’t know was, that Cosmo, who has become now 16 years old over time, was watching him from heaven. It totally broke her heart to see her boyfriend suffer… She could understand, how painful it is for him and her, and every day, she cried her heart out… but she couldn’t do anything. Until… One day, where everything changed. Cosmo’s mother Earthia appeared in front of her and she was confused.

Cosmo: (wipes away her tears and looks confused to her mother) M-Mum? What is it?

Earthia: (goes smiling warmly to her daughter and strokes her head) My little treasure… I think it’s time… for your reward.

Cosmo: (looks up at her mother) Reward? What a reward?

Earthia: Oh, you didn’t know? It’s today your 8th birthday here in heaven.

Cosmo: (confused) And what exactly IS the “reward”?

Earthia: (serious) I’ll tell you something you didn’t know about. Seedrians like you and me, aren’t really physically strong, but that doesn’t matter… the only thing which makes us special, is that we have the ability to get revived, when we sacrificed ourselves. And that will happen under the decision of our goddess of the Seedrians… the goddess of belief and peace, Luna. It’s a great honour, which only gets to those, who believe in her. You Cosmo, did it the MOST, by saving the galaxy and your friends. But that ONLY happens in 8-Years-Bar. And if you sacrificed yourself, because you wanted to save your loved ones, it will absolutely happen. *smiles* And oh, what a coincidence… You HAVE done all these important clues.

Cosmo: (shocked to her that, but she slightly begins to smile and to sob happily) M-Mother… D-Does that mean t-that…?

Earthia: (smiles and kisses her head) Yes… You’ll be revived. TODAY!!!

Cosmo: (shrieks happily and hugs tightly her mother, while crying on her chest) Thank you, mum! Thank you so much! No, I thank you BILLIONS OF TIMES!

Earthia: (laughs and kneels down to hug her daughter) Don’t thank me… thank and bless our goddess.

Cosmo: (looks smiling with tear-soaked eyes in her mother’s eyes) I’m so happy… So happy, that I can’t describe it with words... But what about you? You’re longer here, than me. Shouldn’t you be revived too?

Earthia: (looks down) I sadly can’t. I might be here for OVER 8 years, but I simply died normally and I didn’t sacrifice myself so much, like you did. *smiles* What you did actually made you the hero under all Seedrians. So much, that it almost makes you the new leader of our species, if we were still alive. And besides… I saw how much you were sad, because of that nice-looking fox-friend of yours.

Cosmo: (looks sad) Yeah… He totally changed into a sad person… He isn’t the same happy Tails, I once knew… But I didn’t want it to be like this… I wanted to move on, but it didn’t work. I love him, mum… I love him so much, that I can’t live without him.

Earthia: Oh my… Your love to him seems honest.

Cosmo: Once I get revived… (stands up and wipes away her tears) I will make him happy again. I’m the only one, who can still cheer him up, before it gets worse!

Earthia: (smiles) That’s my daughter… Now time for you to return back to life. *she begins to pray and to mutter a spell then speaks normal* Dear god Luna… For eight years, where death seems endless, my beloved daughter, should get a second chance to live on and to continue to bring happiness to everyone she knows and love… mostly the young fox Tails… I bless you and you bless us… BRING COSMO BACK TO LIFE!

Then Cosmo starts to get engulfed in a bright light and begins to disappear.

Meanwhile at Tails’ house…

Shadow was sitting next to Tails, which’s hair has grown to his shoulder over the years, hold together to a ponytail. His fur has become thicker and his tails’ gotten longer and fluffy. He also built up muscles over time, and he has grown up into a handsome young teenager. Shadow didn’t change from the look. At this current time, he gives his close friend a little cheer-up-session. Tails seems to get a bit happy, but this will change once Shadow left.

Shadow: (strokes his back) Tails… Do you feel better?

Tails: (looks sad) No Shadow… I still feel terrible… And I don’t know what to do, to forget all these terrible memories. *tears up* I don’t know anymore, Shad… I’m adviceless…

Shadow: (slightly getting worried) I guess Cosmo’s death is still hunting you, huh?

Tails: (looks at him with tear-soaked eyes) Yes… I had to suffer, for all these long years… I know that you and Cosmo told me to move on in my life, even without her, but… *hugs Shadow tightly and sobs, while wrapping his tails’ around his new friend* I CAN’T SHADOW! I just can’t… I don’t get her of my head… Every night, where I try to sleep, this dark moment where I had to kill her only to save everyone repeats EVERY night in my head as nightmare…

Shadow: (tears are also running down his cheeks and hugs back, while stroking his back) There, there… It’s OK, Tails… I know how it feels to lose someone precious… I lost Maria when I still was on the ARK. I can fully understand how you feel about your great loss… A great victory, also brings some prizes within it…

Tails: (sobs) I believe you, Shad… But it won’t help me sadly… Because your loss is different from mine… You loved Maria as big sister… *sobs more* While I loved Cosmo, so much that I wanted to have future with her! I love her, Shadow! You didn’t have to kill Maria to save everyone, but I had to kill MY love!

Shadow: (strokes his ears) I understand, but mourning over it isn’t going to help much really… But I give you the advice to lay down a bit and to close your eyes for a moment, and to think about something you like… like engineering machines, like you always love to do. I usually do that too, to forget Maria for a moment… it helps.

Tails: (looks at him calming down a little, but still sniffing) Okay Shadow… I’ll try this out, but then again… I doubt it. I love to engineer, but I almost lost interest over time, since my love died… But I try. Thanks…

Shadow: (smiles a bit and gives him a little tissue) Here, sniff inside.

Tails: (wipes his tears away with it and sniffs inside the tissue) Thanks.

Shadow: (stands up and taps his shoulder) I hope I helped you a bit. I have to go.

Tails: Alright Shadow.

Shadow puts on his leather jacket and his hat. He opens the door, while it rains heavily outside and walks outside, skating back to his home.

Tails sits back and turns on the TV, while burying his face in his hands like always.

Meanwhile outside of Tails’ house…

Somewhere in the forest…

Ever since Tails left the clinic, he had decided to build up a special tombstone for Cosmo, where he put all his final faith into this little plant he got from the little semen after Cosmo sacrificed herself. So he planted the flower right next to the tombstone, which looks like a statue of Cosmo herself. But now something long wished happens… the ground beneath the tombstone slightly begins to glow in a bright light. The an explosion comes and Cosmo pops up from the flower. Her look changed a bit. Her long green hair hangs down to her hips. She wears the same green dress like she wore 8 years ago, only that her dress doesn’t have sleeves anymore, and her shoulders are now shown. And the flowers on her forehead are full and completely free, just like they were when she transformed into her true form. She also wears now a skirt, with her legs being bare, until to her green boots with rose-signs on their sides, which are also new to her new design. And she also has a green band around her throat, as little accessories, which isn’t tight at all.

Cosmo: (surprised and looks around) Huh? Where am I? *touches her body to feel if she isn’t a ghost, then she punches herself in the belly* Grrr… *she realizes she is flesh and blood and she sits on her knees bent down, slightly beginning to laugh and to cry, then she yells happily with tears in her eyes* I CAN’T BELIEVE IT! I AM ALIVE! I AM NOT A GHOST ANYMORE! *laughs happily and wipes away her tears* *stands up* Oh yes, that’s just what I needed! Now… I must find Tails. *throws her hair back and goes away*

Later… She runs around the town, but soon reaches Tails’ house.

She nervously knocks at the door and waits… then Tails opens the door, and was shocked.

Tails: (shocked)

Cosmo: (with pleading cute eyes) It’s cold… Can I come in?

Tails: (let her surprised in)

Cosmo: (runs inside and sits on the sofa, shaking herself clean)

Tails: (is very shocked to see this girl, because he knows her and sits next to her)

Cosmo: (looks at Tails and is also shocked, and slightly tears up) Tails…

Tails: (tears up heavily when he looks properly at the girl) I-I-It can’t b-be… No, I-I must d-dream! It c-can’t be you… C-Cosmo?!

They both just stare at each other, and after some moments…

They recognized each other, and Cosmo jumps in Tails’ arms, while she sobs happily on his fluffy chest, and Tails hugs her tightly and wraps his tails’ around her body, while tears are flooding down his cheeks.

Cosmo: (buries her face in his fluffy chest and sobs happily) I can’t believe it! IT’S REALLY YOU, TAILS! *sobs on his chest*

Tails: (tears of happiness are flooding down his cheeks while hugging her tighter) Cosmo… I missed you so much…

Cosmo: (sobs) I missed you so much, too Tails…

Tails: (looks smiling at her with tear-soaked eyes) B-But… I t-thought you d-died when I shot y-y-your tree... H-How come, t-that you’re here… in flesh and blood?

Cosmo: (slightly smiles, while looking at her great love with tear-soaked eyes and leans up a bit) That’s a long story, but it doesn’t matter… not anymore… The important thing is that I am back… *holds his hands* …and that I have YOU back.

Tails: (blushes, but smiles, wipes away his tears and kisses her forehead lightly) I am so happy to have you back, Cosmo… And I swear… We’ll never separate again, like we did 8 years ago. I lost you once, and I won’t lose you EVER again…

Cosmo: (blushes, cries smiling and puts her head on his fluffy chest) Oh Tails… You have no idea, how much I missed you… And I am sorry, for all the anxiety I put you through, while I was dead…

Tails: (cries again and runs her hand through her long green hair) It’s alright Cosmo… I don’t blame you… because it wasn’t your fault… The Metarex were those to blame… They wanted to eliminate us with their secret weapon, but you only did, what you thought was right to save us all…

Cosmo: (looks sad at him, while crying more) But with my sacrifice, you had to suffer a lot because of me… You said, you promise me not to be sad about my death and to move on in your life instead, but you still were very sad and I bet you changed negatively over this long time…

Tails: (looks down, but slightly smiles warmly and strokes her cheeks to wipe away her tears) You’re wrong, Cosmo… I may have changed from the look over time, but… I am still the same lovable fox you knew years ago… Even when I was depressed after all these years, I am still the same, I can assure you that.

Cosmo: (looks blushing in his eyes, but she smiles cutely) From the way you softly speak to me with a wise tone in your voice… I believe you. *strokes his long and fuzzy hair* Heh, look at you… While I was gone, you’ve become very handsome, Tails… *runs his hands all over his body, which was muscular now and she blushes deep red from his muscles when she touches them* Wow… Not only handsome… also stronger.

Tails: (chuckles) Well, I had nothing better to do, and I wanted to train anyway instead of engineering all the time for a change… *runs his hands down her hair and feels her bare arms and blushes* Oh yeah… Your skin has become smoother over time… Just like I imagined your skin to feel like… *looks at her new clothes* And you look more beautiful than before… And I must say this… (leans near her face and whispers softly) I promised you one thing… and also wanted this…

Cosmo: (blushes) W-What did I p-promise?

Tails: (grins and… kisses her lips lovingly and wraps his tails’ around her body) This.

Cosmo: (eyes widen and she blushes deep red, but then stops and begins slightly to kiss back)

Tails: (let his hand slide in hers while kissing, while the other hand strokes her shoulder)

Cosmo: (let her soft hand run down his chest while kissing)

Tails: (wraps his strong arms around her back and kisses more)

Cosmo: (wraps her arms around his neck and kisses the same)

After 5 minutes, they part from each other and the both reunited lovers look blissfully in their blue eyes.

Tails: (smiles warmly) Cosmo… I never managed to tell you the truth, but now… I feel that this is the right time… I lo-- *gets interrupted by Cosmo’s finger on his mouth*.

Cosmo: (softly) Shhhh… Say no more, sweetie… I always wanted to tell you this, but I never got the chance to anymore, after I died… Before we kissed, I felt like I slept a whole century, but now… *cuddles into his chest* …I’m awake. Your immortal love woke me up…

Tails: (puts his hands on her cheeks and strokes them) That’s because I care a lot about you… You mean everything to me, Cosmo… After you died, you told me that you only felt like you are only dead weight to us… *nuzzles his nose softly between her eyes* …but you’re not. Mostly for me, you’re the most precious person in my life… And you’re not useless like you think you are.

Cosmo: (smiles at him cutely) Thank you, Tails… Thank you so much… You’re also important to me. Ever since we met on Earth, I could sense that you have a warm soul and a heart out of gold, just like your fur… *strokes his cheek* When Shadow tried to attack me, you tried your best to protect me, even when you had no chance against him… you were so brave, that you inspired me to protect you all. And again… *sad* I am so sorry for all the emotional torture I pulled you through…

Tails: (strokes her shoulder) Again… I forgive you… since you’re innocent. You just wanted to protect us and that was very brave… Even I was inspired by how brave you were on the inside…

Cosmo: (looks up and stares deeply in his blue eyes) Tails…

Tails: (looks also deep in her shiny blue eyes) Cosmo…

They both lean in and kiss passionately again.

Tails&Cosmo: I love you.

After 5 minutes they part from each other and Tails stands up and sweeps Cosmo in his arms, which makes her jump in surprise and she blushes.

Cosmo: (blushes) T-T-Tails?

Tails: (grins and winks) Shhhh… I’m about to make mine and your dream come true…

Cosmo: (begins to smile and stops blushing) I want you, Tailsy… I’ve been waiting for this… *puts her head on his chest and wraps her arms around his neck*

And so Tails goes with his revived love to his bedroom and there begins the magical part. They kissed with a burning passion… That’s the first time for them in “Making love”. When Tails touched Cosmo, she felt electric impulses through her body, which is a great pleasure for her to finally feel her love again for a long time. They took it smooth and slow, which makes this moment even more magical. Cosmo felt REALLY loved during this session and even if it’s the first time for him and her, they never felt so much ecstasy and so much emotion… When they reached their great climax, Cosmo felt like she was staring in the deepest cosmos, where all it’s secrets are revealed to her. After this wonderful and emotional moment, they both cuddled close and fell asleep in each others arms. Tails’ depression was gone, flying away in the soft wind and Cosmo’s sorrow melted away in the warm embrace of her now official boyfriend. The life of a golden fox and a green female alien has begun... together.
